Grundfos wants to build a new, large head quarter in Bjerringbro east of the Eastern bypass road and Sortehøjvej. The project is going to be Grundfos’ largest building investment ever.
The office building will be the workplace for approximately 660 employees and replaces their current head quarter. The new building is set to be constructed at the Grundfos Center and academy so that it can become part of Grundfos’ vision about developing the campus in Bjerringbro.
The building will fulfill the highest standards for sustainability in relation to climate, water, and working environment and will contain all Grundos’ most modern projects.
The building will be 30 metres tall, round with an atrium in the middle, passiv sun protection and constructed in a sustainable tree construction. The surrounding landscape must be processed with handling rainwater in a larger green area, whereas the majority will be with access for the public. The entire project is constructed to fulfill the highest standards for sustainable construction and will be a showcase of Grundfos’ own energysaving products as these will be integrated in the building.
Prior to construction start, archeological preliminary investigations and digging must be made at the area since Viborg Museum assesses with high probability that there are archeological finds. It is expected that the local plan will be adopted in November 2024.
The design phase is still in process and will according to the plan continue until Q3 2024 where the final investment decision will be made. Niras is the design adviser on the project, and an agreement has also been made with MT Højgaard and COWI conditional on the final investment decision.
The construction is expected to be begun in Q4 2024 and will probably be finished in 2026.
