Exhibition Center Vesthimmerland is to be renovated. Among other things, some rooms are to be converted into meeting and conference rooms, and the foyer, kitchen and storage are to be expanded.
Exhibition Center Vesthimmerland has for many years experienced increasing turnover due to growth and more events, but a prerequisite for continuing this development is that the center is continuously optimized and developed to meet guests’ expectations. Therefore, in connection with the fact that Erhverv Vesthimmerland has vacated their lease in the Exhibition Center, a desire has arisen to take over this part and transform it into meeting and conference rooms.
A need to expand the foyer and kitchen, has also arisen as these areas are too small when large events are held with up to 1500-2000 guests at once. The kitchen and storage also need a renovation as well as an increased capacity in the fridge and freezer, so that it can comply with the authorities’ requirements and continue to obtain the Elite Smiley from the Danish Veterinary and Food Administration.
The Architect Firm Krogh Madsen has made a proposal for an extension of the foyer, which can be seen in the picture, as well as a proposal for an extension to the kitchen with a separate appliance kitchen, and the company must also handle retail planning and the preparation of tender materials. The expansion of the foyer will involve covering the outdoor area between the two buildings at the Exhibition Center’s main entrance.
The construction tasks will be put out to tender in January and February 2025.
The project is expected to start in Q2 2025 and be completed again already in Q3 2025.
