Swedavia is continuing their development of the future’s airports and is planning to build a new hotel at Stockholm Arlanda Airport.
The plan is to build a new full-service hotel consisting of 540 double rooms, a conference room and different bars and restaurants, which the guests can enjoy. All in all, the hotel will be spread over 39 000 square metres near Terminal 4.
Swedavia’s Real Estate’s VD Stefan Stenberg says about the project that since airports is important connections it is an excellent place for a hotel. The new hotel will be located right next to the terminals and this location combined with the high quality architecture and finish will make a highly attractive hotel. Swedavia believes that there will be a high interest for the hotel on the operators market.
Swedavia has also recently put the opportunity to run the hotel out to tender so that the operators can bid on it.
TEA, Thomas Eriksson Arkitekter has drawn up a proposal for the design, which can be seen in the picture.
A possible construction start is in 2025 at the earliest, however, it is not yet determined when the hotel should be finished.
