Slottskogshallen which burned down in 2019 is set to be replaced with a new sportscenter. The new center is going to be special designed in order to meet the needs within athletics, gymnastics, and trampoline, however, it should also be usable for other indoor sports.
After the fire, a huge need for a new sportscenter has arisen in order to support the local sports and give associations and private persons the opportunity to practice their sport.
The new sportscenter will contain a hall with battens for up to 150 people and with surfaces suited for athletics and gymnastics. The plan also contain an area pnly for trampoline. However, the room must also be bookable for other activities and, therefore, you will be able to hide the equipment behind curtain walls or hang them from the ceiling.
In the construction, the plan is also to have an office, locker room, reception, foyer, and machine hall. The center should have the ability to be used as a supplement at larger events both in the athletics house as well as in Slottskogshallen.
The project is expected to begin in Q2 2025 and should be ready in Q1 2027.
